Loosen Up

November 06, 2015

If the new shoes you bought are slightly too tight, stretch them out at home yourself. Put on a few pairs of thick socks and then the shoes and blow dry your feet for about 10 minutes, making sure to bend and flex. Keep your shoes on while they cool and then try walking around without your socks on. You should notice that they are more comfortable to wear now. Remember this will only work if they are a little too small, not if they are the wrong size entirely.

Puppy Love

October 23, 2015

If you have a new puppy that is teething and chewing everything around the house, make them a special treat. Soak a towel in water and then ring it out. Place this in the freezer and leave it in there until it is frozen. Once it is ready, give it to your puppy and let them gnaw at it. It will soothe the pain and given them something inexpensive to chew on. Just watch that they don't start ripping it up and eating it.

Salty Bedtime Ritual

September 11, 2015

Having a difficult time getting your little one to bed now that they are back in school? Why not try adding some Epsom salts to their normal bath time ritual. You can even do it for yourself! Keep Asking for S'more

September 02, 2015

Fall and bonfires were made for each other. You don’t need to have a fire pit of your own or a ton of money to make your favorite treats though. You can make your own personal s’mores roaster with just a few materials! Grab an unglazed terra cotta pot and line it with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Then add charcoal and light! Be sure to let it cool a little bit before you start so you don’t burn yourself.

Leave The Smell At The Pool

June 18, 2015

Summertime means wet towels. Whether it is days spent at the beach or at the pool, having that dank, mildew smell left behind on them is almost inevitable. Instead of just pretending you don't smell anything, make them like new again with some vinegar! All you have to do is run the towels in the washing machine on the hottest temperature with 1 or 2 cups of white vinegar. Once that load is done, rerun the towels through a normal wash with just your laundry detergent. Then either thoroughly dry them in the dyer or outside in the sun.
