Happy Friday Everyone! We hope that you all a fantastic week and are getting ready for the upcoming holiday. Can you believe that 4th of July is only a week away! It feels like Memorial Day was just yesterday and now we are in the full swing of summer! Buying fruit is sometimes extremely frustrating. It always seems to go bad before you even get the chance to eat it. Bananas in particular go brown insanely fast, so we are in love this new trick to extend their shelf life. When you bring you bunch of bananas home, wrap the stem in plastic wrap. Then when you are ready to eat one just cut it away from the stem, leaving the plastic wrap in place. This keeps everything sealed and prevents the bananas from ripening.




Summer can be a dangerous time for your electronics, especially if you frequent the beach or pool. Instead of risking getting water, sunscreen, or sand in your phone while you are out all day, keep it stored away safely. One of our favorite tricks is using a clear plastic sandwich baggie. You can still text from your phone or read, but you will be keeping it protected at the same time.




Summertime means more sandals which also means your feet are exposed to the world. If you want to make sure they are ready to be seen, try this at home pedicure method. Mix together ¼ of Listerine, ¼ cup of vinegar, and ½ cup of warm water, and then let your feet soak in the solution for about 10 minutes. After you have let your feet soak, rinse and wash them off as normal. You should be left with much softer feet! Repeat as needed all season long!




Although summer is not typically the season of colds, they still happen and it is important to be prepared. Next time you find yourself congested or sick, add a tablespoon of vapor rub and 1 tablespoon of water to a candle warmer and let it burn for a few hours. It should help you feel less congested and clear up your nose, sinuses, and chest. It is also very relaxing, which will help you feel better as well.




Mornings are not everyone’s favorite time of the morning. Whether you can’t get out of bed or simply have trouble making it out of the house on time, try some music inspiration. Make a playlist that matches up to the exact time that you need to leave the house. This way you can stay motivated and time yourself via the song playing. In addition, if you pick upbeat music you will feel more awake and get your day started off on the right note!
