Fall is here, but don’t let the fall in temperature stop you from keeping fit and active. No matter the season, it’s vital to keep yourself fit all year round. Yes, it might be a bit chilly outside and the days are getting shorter, but if you have the self-motivation and self-discipline then you get yourself off the couch, get into action and get in shape!

Here are our top five simple ways to stay fit in the fall, plus we have some wonderful health and fitness deals for you!

1. Get fit indoors

If you really don’t want to have to endure the cold weather when stepping out to go to the gym or for a jog in the park, then don’t worry. You could stay at home and keep yourself active. Now, we’re not saying that you should build a gym at home. All you need is a little bit of space and you’re good to go. Get a fitness DVD or Chromecast a fitness YouTube video onto the television screen and get working!

2. Use your garden

You don’t have to go to your local gym. If you have a garden (and a pair of trainers and a gym kit) then utilise it. Go jogging, skipping, jumping on a trampoline or whatever takes your fancy. Alternatively, go for a jog or go cycling in your local park and immerse yourself within the autumnal environment.

3. Sign up to a fitness class

For some people, autumn is a time for fresh starts, so why not sign up to a fitness class? You could take up yoga, spinning, pilates or anything else that will challenge your strengths. Around this time of year, most gyms will release a new schedule of classes for members to sign up to.

4. Join a local sports team

If you are looking to take up a hobby, why not participate in your favourite sport and play for fun? As well as keeping fit and active, it’s a great way to do something that’s different from your usual schedule, meet new people and potentially form friendships.

5. Take a trip to the beach

You don’t have to wait until the summer - or until you go abroad to sunnier climates - to go to the beach. The beach is a great place to go for a walk and a jog, and you can get involved in activities such as kayaking, rowing and paddleboarding.
