TGIF! We hope that everyone had a fantastic week and an even better Halloween. Hopefully you aren’t in as much of a sugar coma as we are. It is officially November, which only means one thing: holiday season is officially upon us. I know it sounds premature, but in reality Thanksgiving is going to be here before we know it, so it is better to get in the mindset early so that you are prepared! As always, we are here to make sure you are always savings savvy!
I know that we have been accustom to not being able to return products for a full refund after they have been opened, but times are changing! No matter how much research and testing you do before buying a new makeup product, sometimes it just does not suit your fancy when you start using it. Stores like CVS, Walgreens, and Sephora let you return your makeup if you don’t like it and will give a refund as long as you have your receipt.
Who doesn’t love getting flowers delivered or even sending them for that matter, but it is annoying to spend all that money and then watch them die almost immediately. Good thing there are things in your own household that will extend their life! We love adding a little bit of vodka and sugar to our flower vases to keep them fresh and blooming beautifully! Check out some other household suggestions here by SheKnows.
We know that buying in bulk saves up money in the long run, but there are definitely some things better to buy in larger amounts than others. The most obvious products are paper products, like toilet paper, paper towels, and napkins. You go through them so quickly, so you might as well get a larger amount and save yourself an emergency trip to the store. Check out this list by U.S. News Money about the 10 Things You Should Always Buy in Bulk
Halloween candy is unnecessarily expensive, but you never want to be THAT house that doesn’t have enough candy or the good candy. What do you do with all of the candy that is leftover though? If you still have your receipt and you haven’t opened all of your bags, bring them back to the store and get a refund! If you did open all of the bags already, check out these great recipes to use up all that extra candy.
Baby oil is great for so many things, but you may have never even thought to use it for shaving! It is perfect because not only is it good for sensitive skin, reducing the risk or bumps or rashes, but it also will extend the life of your razor! You will be left with beautiful, smooth skin when you are done! Just be careful in the shower because the floor will get very slippery with the oil!
Have a fantastic weekend and don’t forget to share your tips with us!
