Fall is a season that always delivers delight. Rich textures, unexpected color palettes and extreme detailing are especially enticing this fall. Whatever the trend, outerwear is a huge deal and may be all that is needed to adjust to each trend. Statement-making outerwear manifested itself in a number of ways this season. Think bold furs, oversize parkas, and cool leathers.

DO invest in eye-catching outerwear.

DON'T be afraid to experiment with various colors, lengths, and textures.

DO consider the rest of your outfit when rocking statement-making coats. Keep everything else simple.

Punk Rock

Following the Met Gala, this trend was bound to remain on the radar. With the leadership of Hedi Slimane, Saint Laurent is a major player in the trend. Safety pins, flannels, floral prints, and lace are the key details to showing your grungy side. Rebellion never looked so cool.

DON'T be afraid to try an all-leather outfit; keep colors neutral and everything else simple.
