Sandal Love at Teva

Sandals aren't all slim and pretty these days: a lot of them are more substantial than we’re used to. Straps are numerous, soles are thicker… there’s a lot more leeway when it comes to design. Sandals are meant to stand out, and with Teva, you can be sure the quality is top-notch.

What surprised me when I went over to Teva.com was the fact that Teva has a lot more to offer than I remembered. It used to be my go-to brand for the basics (like everyday-type stuff), but never anything fancier than that. I went over there to check out the site because there were some excellent promo codes available, and I was shocked at how Teva has built out their collections with trend-conscious, stylish designs at competitive price points.

Without further ado, here’s what’s worth browsing at Teva.com:

Wedges: Cork-soled wedges are so pretty with summery dresses, and these ones are way more comfortable than your standard sandals. I love the ones in natural brown, because they will match with everything under the sun.

Flatforms: These are pretty shoes with a retro feel. The ones with the multi-colored soles are the coolest, but they are also the most challenging to match with different ensembles, so maybe find the happy medium with the metallic versions.

Slip-ons: Practical and comfortable, these shoes are fantastic for traveling because they take up almost no room in your luggage and are so light. If you're traveling in inclement weather, the sole grip is also great in the rain.

Festival gear: I love that Teva has marketed itself to stay abreast of trends with its festival-appropriate designs. There are plenty of multicolored, casual styles that work perfectly with the jean shorts and boho dresses that just appeared at Coachella (and will again at Burning Man).

Pretty heels: Wedges are so much more comfortable than traditional spike heels, and they also look just as good. I suggest checking out Teva's dressier styles to see how you can best pair comfort and style.

Sneaker-esque sandals: Some of us cannot bear the feeling of sneakers in hot weather, and Teva's aerated styles offer a more comfortable, breezier fit. I suggest the closed-toe designs so you can wear them to all the places where you'd wear sneakers instead.

Of course, if you’re on a budget, you’ll want to make sure you trim down the cost of those Tevas. The promo code page offers free shipping and a really good sale, with more coupons added regularly.

P.S.

A personal note: I never owned a pair of Tevas that wore out. They would literally just keep on truckin’ until I grew out of them (or lost them). And this was way before they started to look so darn cool.
