Happy Friday Everyone! We hope that you all had a beautiful week and have some exciting plans to unwind this weekend. If you or your kids are going back to school, be sure to check in with us to find the season’s best sales. Stores are starting to put out all of their back to school essentials even earlier this year, so plan accordingly! If buying textbooks is your main concern, then enter our giveaway for a $150 Amazon Gift Card. This year let us buy your textbooks! As always savvy-savers, have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Summer means bugs and as annoying as they are to you, they are equally annoying to your animals. Instead of making them suffer through the bites and nagging, make up your own bug spray. You can also use this on yourself, so it works out nicely for everyone. In spray bottle, mix together 1 quart of raw Apple Cider Vinegar and 1 teaspoon of Citronella Essential Oil. When you are ready, just shake it up and spray! Your pets (and wallet) will thank you!

Moving is something that takes a lot of time and preparation, especially if you want to do it all within budget. Everything is important to the planning, even down to the little things such as boxes and bubble wrap. If you don’t want to spend unnecessary money when you are packing everything up, skip the bubble wrap. Instead grab the old newspapers that are around the house. Crumple up the papers and use them for extra cushion. Be sure to still properly wrap up your fragile items to keep them from breaking.

Whether you are sharing a bathroom or just always find yourself needing the mirror immediately following your shower, this trick will change your life. Next time you are in the bathroom, take some shaving cream and gently coat your mirror (or the part you want to use) and then wipe it away. Then when you get out of the shower, you will notice that your mirror is now fog-free! No more waiting for everything to clear up, saving you precious time!

At home hair treatments are one of my favorite things to do because it is so easy to replicate your salon favorites. With the summer sun doing damage on your hair, now is the perfect time to try out a deep conditioning   treatment. The best part is that you don’t need to buy anything new. Grab your favorite conditioner, a plastic bag, and a warm towel. Wash your hair like normal and then smooth your conditioner into your hair, working your way down all of the strands. Once it is worked in, wrap your hair up in the plastic bag and then cover your head with the warm towel. Allow this to sit for 15 minutes and then rinse out like normal. You will love the results.

Traveling with liquids is always a risky decision, whether you are checking a bag or carrying them on. Instead of constantly worrying about whether or not your liquids are going to leak, try this trick out. Unscrew the caps on your liquids and place plastic wrap over the opening and screw the cap back on. This should keep everything in place and help prevent any spilling. This will save you from buying/replacing liquids while you are away from home.
